We cover Earth science, astronomy, space, technology, natural events, travel, and related subjects. Content should help readers understand a topic, make an informed decision, or explore an event safely and responsibly.
Evidence and sources
- Primary sources are preferred whenever available: peer-reviewed research, official datasets, government and space-agency publications, original documents, and direct expert material.
- Important or disputed claims should be cross-checked against more than one reliable source.
- Dates, names, quantities, quotations, and links are checked before publication.
- Uncertainty, estimates, and scientific disagreement are described rather than presented as settled fact.
- Sources are linked or named where doing so helps readers verify a claim.
Authorship and review
Every article has a named author who is responsible for its accuracy. Author pages should explain relevant experience and provide access to previous work. Material involving specialized or high-risk claims should receive additional review or clearly state its limitations.
Use of automation and AI tools
Research, transcription, editing, or automation tools may assist the publishing process, but they are not treated as authoritative sources or credited as authors. A human author must review the final article, verify factual claims against reliable sources, check citations, and take responsibility for what is published.
